1996 as a partnership between Moody International Group and Nigerian investors. Since commencing operations in March 1997 the company continues to grow and exerts its presence in numerous Projects in the Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: System Completion Planner


Location: Nigeria
Job Type: Contracts

Job Nature: Offshore Rotation (Expat/National) (7 days on/7 days off, 14 days on/14 days off, 28 days on/28 days off)


Main Functions

  • The Systems Completion Planner focuses on developing and updating commissioning and start-up planning deliverables for Company in order for the project team to test Contractor performance in these areas.

The role is characterised by:

  • Strong planning background with specific knowledge of commissioning and start-up activities during planning and execution, collaboration with the Contractor to ensure scheduling and reporting requirements associated with systems completion are clearly understood and adhered to and effective communication skills with the ability to produce polished reports and communication packages.




Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Review and provide input to planning related deliverables including but not limited to project schedule, commissioning schedule, fish bones, skylines, etc.
  • Develop and steward regular updating of project commissioning and start-up fish bones, skylines, and schedules
  • Validate planning deliverables with discipline specialists and Commissioning Leads

Support SC Lead in:
  • Development of project team KPIs with regards to systems completion
  • Development of regular systems completion reports during planning and execution phases
  • Provision of SC data to the Project Team


  • Support SC Coordinator to track completion of deliverables
  • Retain updated information on Systems Completion Team training requirements, scheduling and records
  • Monitor overall site construction and commissioning priorities by system to drive Mechanical Completion and Commissioning target dates
  • Develop and maintain Project Skyline and Milestone Icicle Chart Reporting in conjunction with Contractor
  • Monitor Test Pack completion metrics and identifies/analyzes areas for improvement in efficiency
  • Report Turnover progress to the Commissioning and Start-up Leads. Sets up, manages and reports Turnover metrics such as Check Sheet progress, Plan, Actual and outstanding punch list items, etc.
  • Tracks and assists expediting late material and equipment deliveries also monitor their effect on handover plans. Flags punch items requiring material/equipment
  • Monitor Contractor’s Preservation performance and maintenance activities by subsystem


  • Develop and maintain a planning tool for Company’s daily witnessing activities and ensure assignment of Company’s personnel to each activity.
  • Support development of detailed Start-up Schedule and update throughout the start-up phase at a daily activity level.
  • Support Start-up team develop daily reports including activities completed, planned as well as metrics on operations such as consumables and capacity levels.
  • Apply company's learned; Participate in company's learned reviews and provide input to close-out report section upon completion of Turnover.

Job Requirements

  • Years of closely related professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within an applicable discipline, appropriate certification(s) within discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through previous supervisory position, team leader position, engineering lead position or other leadership positions

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely convey recommendations to management
  • Good facilitator with the ability to build consensus in areas of contention while enhancing working relationships; must have a high level of assertiveness to ensure commissioning status, issues and concerns are effectively communicated laterally and vertically in the organisation
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Knowledgeable of Project Completions activities and typical commissioning practices including typical Systems Completion Database software (e.g., WinPCS, MC+, CoConsole, Orbit)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Proficient in selected scheduling and planning software
